Commercial Manager | Brazil

Commercial Manager:
- Oversee financial, accounting and administrative functions, Supply Chain IT and Tax Departments. Understanding and experience in supply chain, contract management and procurement
- Oversee all vendor contracts including sourcing, negotiation and ensuring appropriate agreements, execution and service levels
- Ensure that all activities are done according to budget and forecasts and provide a defined strategy to optimise business health. Experience in cost control, analysis and reduction of costs.
- Provide a systematic approach in meeting all targets through sound KPI's for each position
- Plan, organize and control the high level activities related to the department
- Lead all people related activities always behaving in a manner consistent with company values and expected behaviors. Action oriented and delivery focused
- Develop and maintain progression and succession plans for departmental staff as per company and HR guidelines; this includes the development, implementation and maintenance of a department skills matrix among other requirements. Develop/Manage strong administration, finance, legal, HR and supply Chain processes and policies
- Support and/or lead business process improvements with a view to increasing sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness and achieving operational excellence
- Keep necessary records of all aspects related to the department and contractual activities


Summary of Role
As the Commercial Manager reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for leading and providing oversight to the Finance, Administration, IT, Supply Chain and Camp teams on site. As a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for developing Finance & Supply Chain and other required systems to optimize productivity and efficiency. A key focus of the role will be leading the contract management process, participate in and coordinate contract negotiations and renewals.


Qualifications
- University degree in Finance and Accounting, relevant degree with accounting designation (CA or equivalent).
- 10- 15 years' experience in the mining industry
- Experience working in Brazil and South American countries. Financial expertise in mining operations. Knowledge in IFRS Accounting Principles, local tax regulations and Compliance
- Leader management mentoring team members of diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication, planning and execution skills needed.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Forecasting, budgeting and business analysis
- Strong communication skills in Portuguese, (English is an asset) to effectively interact with employees and government officials
