Job Description

Competently apply field expertise in electrical installations, quality assurance, quality control, & commissioning activities. Coach and mentor medium size group of National electrical engineers and professionals in these areas along with content quality, design, delivery, evaluation and review on a wide range of E/I designs and installations. Contribute to the larger section and overall departmental team efforts, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support Organizational Development, Division Values, and PTFI SHE policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
1.            Implement Organizational & Division Values, FRESH Management System, policies and procedures.  Lead by example in order to be a role model and coach for colleagues and development program participants.
2.            Demonstrate expert competence in the principles, application and design of electrical installations and systems.
3.            Professionally evaluate, install, and deliver/facilitate a range of electrical equipment, components, and systems in order to meet PTFI customer needs and quality standards.
4.            Thoroughly understand and competently apply internationally accepted principles of installation and testing as well as provide training, giving learners maximum opportunity to learn and develop job competence.
5.            Activities include but are not limited to: install, inspect, test, adjust, repair and calibrate electronic mechanical and pneumatic instrumentation, high voltage switching and fault investigation, industrial & domestic installation and construction, maintenance & troubleshoot for equipment; conveying system, screens, crushing system, pumps, milling, PLC’s, automation and motor controls, etc.
6.            Assist to design, create, and implement competency based assessment tools and coach colleagues to help ensure that all assessments are professionally conducted in order to ensure all assessment and quality standards are met.
7.            Conduct design review, schedule assessments, and installation inspections to help ensure that delivered installations are as planned and meet PTFI/customer requirements.
8.            Mentor colleagues to meet/exceed customer expectations.
9.            Help to develop the technical and organizational competencies of the electrical personnel within the division and make recommendations to further develop these competencies.
10.          Coach to ensure that the group delivers according to the section strategic plan, within the section budget and meeting the deliverable timelines.
11.          Manage a range of new installations as well as equipment/facility improvement projects.
12.          Produce professional reports and perform updates in a presentation format.
13.          Lead, facilitate, and attend meetings as required.
14.          Work closely with all divisions/departments/levels of management within PTFI.


  • Demonstrated technical competence at a minimum standard to that of a master tradesperson or similar, supported by at least fifteen (15) years of directly related work experience, of which three (3) years have been spent working in a senior supervisory role, OR
  • Undergraduate degree (S1) or equivalent with eight (8) years directly related work experience of which three (3) years have been spent working in a senior supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic level of the Indonesian language in understanding and oral (preferable but not essential).
