Job purpose:

Reporting to the Regional Manager FP&A, the incumbent will provide assistance with financial analysis, forecasting, developing reports on financial performance and maintenance of department dashboards to the Africa Region. The FP&A Analyst will also assist for recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data of the Region.

Main Responsibilities:


The key tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing financial data and operational performance, including ad-hoc analysis, financial models for decision support and forecasting
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of an infrastructure that facilitates rapid reporting and analysis of key metrics driving financial and operational performance.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation


Personal skills:

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or other related fields
  • 1-3 years of previous experience working in business finance or similar position
  • Very good English level both speaking and writing. French is an asset.
  • Advanced fluency with MS Excel and Power Point skills - familiarity with data query/data management tools
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Willingness to learn how to use new tools, techniques, and skills
  • Discretion in handling sensitive firm, department and individual performance information

  • Experience with databases
  • Resourcefulness; ability to procure detailed data and information
  • Good time and work load management skills, ability to prioritize, ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
