Reliability Engineer (Process Plant / Large Scale Mining / Condition Monitoring / Shutdowns) – Southern Africa

Job Description: 
Our client, with a large-scale mineral processing operation in Southern Africa, is in search of an experienced Reliability Engineer with previous milling, flotation and filtration experience to join their team.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of fixed plant reliability engineering and maintenance.
  • Loss prevention and elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.
  • Ensure maximum plant availability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a focus on safety and ensure health, safety and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Incident and hazard reporting.
  • Fault inspections and reporting.
  • Assist in planning for the Engineering Maintenance team and the development of preventative asset and maintenance strategies.
  • Shutdown maintenance.
  • Spares management.
  • Providing mentoring and training.

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 7 years minimum previous reliability engineering experience in large scale mineral processing environments.
  • Previous milling, flotation and filtration experience.
  • Previously condition monitoring, non-destructive testing and vibration analysis experience.
  • Experience on ERP or CMMS systems.
  • Previous involvement in preventative maintenance and shutdown planning.
  • Plant optimization and commissioning experience.
  • Experience providing mentoring and training.
