Job Description: 
An international mining company specializing in mineral drilling is seeking to hire a Workshop Supervisor at their mining site in New Caledonia. The role of the Workshop supervisor will consist of piloting and participating actively in the workshop and supervising the maintenance of the machines on the work sites. It will also have to guarantee the security and the good working order of the equipment while participating in the management of the site.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for the good condition of the site.
  • Ensure the proper application of the HQSE & Group Maintenance Policy standards.
  • Conduct all-technology diagnostics on all equipment and assist the Site and Logistics Manager to implement solutions when needed.
  • Carry out the repairs required in accordance with the production requirements.
  • Supervise and participate in the preventive maintenance of the equipment park.
  • To guarantee the availability of mechanical parts on the Workshop.
  • Carrying out supply requests, under the validation of the Site and Logistics Manager.

RequirementsQualifications and Skills

  • Initial training: BTS/Diploma in Maintenance and After-Sales of Public Works Machinery and Handling, Techniques and Services in Agricultural Equipment, Industrial Maintenance, Agricultural Equipment Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4 years minimum in the maintenance and repair of a fleet of rolling stock, workshop management experience and an international dimension would be advantageous.
  • Driving Licence B and C.
  • French Nationality/Passport Required.
  • Good skills in hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance.
  • Fluent in French and English.
