Job Description

As part of its commitment to the Mauritanian Government, TMLSA has sete up a program call the “Local Business Initiative (LBI)” to maximize local procurement, employment and entrepreneurship, competency transfer, and capacity building.

The Enterprise Auditor is responsible for organizing, conducting, and following up on the audits of local contractors and suppliers to be developed by LBI.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Organize audits of local contractors and suppliers with SCM and End Users
  1.    Prepare and conduct audits on businesses on the planned date;
  2. Hold audit opening and closing meetings
  3.    Ask for relevant documents and supporting evidence from local contractors and suppliers
  4. Identify, analyze, and report on gaps, noncompliance, legal issues, or opportunities for improvement
  5.    Write audit reports
  6.    Develop and or recommend objective conclusions in each report
  7. Follow up on findings to ensure the audit is closed out
  8. Report to LBI any relevant information that could have an impact on the audit process
  1. During the audit course identify the training and mentorship needs of local contractors and suppliers audited
  1. Participate in updating the companies’ monitoring database
  2. Gather all the necessary information to monitor the progress of these companies
  3.    According to the companies’ progress suggest the instituting of the required training and mentoring help they need in order to improve
  4. Report any internal problem(s) within the company which might have a negative impact on TMLSA immediately

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position of responsibility.
  • Excellent command of office software (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required for this position


  • Good command of audit techniques and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the SME environment in Mauritania
  • Trilingual in English, French and Arabic
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Individual is able to prioritize effectively, work within strict deadlines and align individual work with the organization’s business objectives
