Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through employees.
  • Ensure continued operations of a heap leach pad solution management system, including electrical and water distribution systems through execution of the production plan and schedules
  • Responsible for overall maintenance and planning activities for the site which includes establishing and monitoring planned schedules for assigned activities, interacting with the Equipment Management System (EMS), and ensuring that budget recommendations, forecast costs, parts availability and overall material management processes etc. are in line with site expectations
  • Supervise a variety of front-line employees in operational and maintenance roles
  • Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated Tribal, federal and state laws and regulations
  • Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained
  • Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Global Sourcing
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain a computerized maintenance system



  • Mechanical and electrical primary expertise with operational as secondary expertise
  • Previous planning experience 


  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) during the course of the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
