Location: Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain

Job purpose:

Reporting to the Regional Manager FP&A, the incumbent will provide assistance with financial analysis, forecasting, developing reports on financial performance and maintenance of department dashboards to the Africa Region. The FP&A Analyst will also assist for recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data of the Region.

Main Responsibilities:

The key tasks may include but are not limited to:

Analyzing financial data and operational performance, including ad-hoc analysis, financial models for decision support and forecasting
Supporting the development and maintenance of an infrastructure that facilitates rapid reporting and analysis of key metrics driving financial and operational performance.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation

Personal skills:

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or other related fields
1-3 years of previous experience working in business finance or similar position
Very good English level both speaking and writing. French is an asset.
Advanced fluency with MS Excel and Power Point skills - familiarity with data query/data management tools
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
Willingness to learn how to use new tools, techniques, and skills
Discretion in handling sensitive firm, department and individual performance information

Professional / Personal Attributes

Experience with databases
Resourcefulness; ability to procure detailed data and information
Good time and work load management skills, ability to prioritize, ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meeting established deadlines.
Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
