Assist the DOZ Production Manager in the implementation of plans for the panel repair work along with the execution of the said plans in the DOZ mine, to ensure the monthly and annual repair and production targets are achieved in a safe, effective, efficient and timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the DOZ Production Manager plan and execute all panel repair to include standing steel sets, installing cable bolts and thread bar, installing split sets and mesh, repairing concrete roads in the panels, and applying shotcrete within damaged panel areas and any damaged area within the DOZ Mine.
  2. Liaise with Underground Engineering to develop and update the monthly, annual, and long-term repair plan in order to produce clear, challenging, realistic and workable DOZ repair targets and plans.
  3. Coordinate, prioritize and control the allocation resources, in order to achieve repair targets in the DOZ Mine in a safe, effective, efficient and timely manner.
  4. Check, analyze and evaluate the progress of repair work / targets on daily basis, and take necessary corrective and preventive actions in order to ensure the repair targets are achieved on schedule and to specifications.
  5. Assist the DOZ Production Manager in communicating the Company's safety policies and procedures to ensure all subordinates understand and conform to these in performing their duties.
  6. Control, monitor and take necessary actions in maintaining the safety condition in all working areas, in order to avoid accidents.
  7. Transfer of knowledge and mentorship of all DOZ Repair employees to ensure that they have the required skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish targets in a safe, effective, efficient, and timely manner.
  8. Effectively build relationships within the Underground and with other groups to ensure smooth functioning and coordination.
  9. Maximize teamwork through leadership in the Underground division and with other divisions.
  10. Help develop the local Indonesian workers to the required competency to become competent and confident in their abilities to handle their assigned tasks.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering with at least eight (8) years of working experience in underground mining. Block caving experience preferred. At least five (5) years holding a supervisory role with proven leadership and teambuilding skills, or fifteen (15) years of experience in underground rehab work with five (5) of those years in a supervisory role.
  • Expert knowledge of safety practices in an underground mine.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with all underground mine methodologies and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic level of the Indonesian language in understanding and oral (preferable but not essential).
