Assist and provide technical expertise and guidance to the Dewatering Plant and Pipeline teams specializing in Electrical/Instrumentation and Process Control teams ensuring that safe and effective operational & maintenance strategies are implemented which support the PTFI production plans.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Review, inspect and promote SOP's for safety practices and safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment and eliminate accident damage to personnel and the Port Site facility.
  2. Assist and provide expertise to the maintenance and operations teams to ensure production targets and objectives can be achieved.
  3. Assist and provide expertise to monitor, control and optimize the overall maintenance plan is in line with operational goals and concentrate production plans.
  4. Apply technical expertise and guidance for the implementation of an overall plant control upgrade which is in line with best practice technologies.
  5. Provide expertise to assist in planning, developing and organizing maintenance procedures, control the implementation of maintenance PM's, scheduled shutdowns and general maintenance with minimal production loss to achieve the department target successfully.
  6. Provide expertise to assist in developing and implementing continuous maintenance improvements for the Pipeline Section (including concentrate/fuel lines and all associated pumping equipment and facilities) which enhance reliability and efficiency.
  7. Provide expertise to assist in developing and implementing an effective and efficient Distributed Control System across the division that utilizes industry best practice technology.
  8. Provide expertise to assist in developing and conducting the daily, weekly and monthly reports about safety, availability, and planning for future production goals.
  9. Control expenses for all of the foregoing within specified budget limits.


  • Engineering Qualification (Degree or Diploma) in a relevant discipline (preferably in Electrical, Instrumentation or Process Engineering).
  • Engineering background with hands on operational experience and a minimum of ten (10) years in a mineral processing and/or mining environment.
  • Sound knowledge of concentrate production and handling procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of maintenance planning and systems (preferably SAP).
  • Sound knowledge of Condition Monitoring to optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Basic knowledge of all topics mentioned to include general mining maintenance experience.
  • Competent in management and leadership.
  • Competent in institute reporting system.
  • Competent in standard computer operation.
  • Competent in manpower budget strategy.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • High level communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong English skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Highly proactive and achievement oriented.
  • Highly focused toward satisfying customer requirements.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of pipeline maintenance and operation.
  • Basic level of the Indonesian language in understanding and oral (preferable but not essential).
