On behalf of our client, we are looking for Coaches with a strong background in Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical.

If you are a supervisor and wish to be a trainer for a major mining company or if you already are a trainer, you might be very interested in this opportunity.

The position is based in Tamatave (MADAGASCAR) on a rotation system of 7 weeks ON and 3 weeks OFF, 6 days per weeks. The salary is a based on a daily rate with everything included on site.

Applicable for all :

• Fluent in French is a must – Average English is a must
• Experience Needed:
- Extensive, in-depth experience of working with a wide range of pumps.
- Possess practical, hands-on experience in troubleshooting and testing pumps.
- Must have working knowledge of associated equipment such as gear boxes, mechanical seals, and white metal bearings.(Applicable to Mechanics only)
- Must be able to read general arrangement & manufacturing drawings & experienced in working with PI&D diagrams;One line diagrams for Electricians
- Must be competent in the use of measuring devices and tools associated with the repair of pumps.
- Adjusting equipments and repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Experience in overhauling / dismantling of the pumps / valves. (Applicable to Mechanics only)
- Experience in measuring the vibrations of rotary equipment. (Applicable to Mechanics only)
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
- Ability to understand mechanical and electrical systems.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and team working skills.
- Possess good organizational skills and have the ability to effectively manage time.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Coaching:
- Develop nationals that will be attached to him for their development through practical hands on routines and exercises to ensure skill development.
- Ensure all tasks in nationals’ logbook are completed and signed off as competent when verified.
- Should have the ability to prepare detailed reports.
• Documentation Development
• Undertake developmental activities like preparation of work instructions / procedures / guidelines.
• Provide some recommendation on best practices.

Mechanical – Central Shop (Johan & Princy):
• Compressor turbines
• Gearboxes (HANSSEN Mainly but also SEW EURODRIVE & FLENDER)
• Conveyor
• Pump (LEWIS PUMP, HYDRACELL PUMP, BRAN + LUEBBE PUMP, PUMP TECHNOLOGY, FLOROX, KMPT (4900 Centrifuge), HOWDEN Compressor (Ammonia), SULLAIR COMPRESSOR, HOWDEN BLOWER (6300))
• Valves (FISHER, DELTA & DSS, FLOWROX, CLARCKSON, XOMOX, VELAN, ACTUATOR BETTIS, PVS, REXA, FLOWSERVE, SWAGELOK)

Mechanical – Utilities:
• Compressor turbines
• Gearboxes
• Conveyor
• Pump
• On the field training – no classroom.
• Team to train is mechanical intermediate level.

Electrical:
• IGUARD and/or Altivar 71

Instrumentation:

• Instrumentation Maintenance Profile
• Brownfield project preferred versus construction project as need to be able to troubleshoot (and train at the same time)
• Must have spent a lot of time on tools
• Must be able to communicate effectively in the field (live facility coaching)
• Must have nucleonic instrumentation experience (Level, Density, etc.)
• Must have hydraulic and pneumatic actuated valve experience.
• Preferably a mining background with knowledge of conveyors, weigh scales and slurry flow measurement.
• Ideally an experienced technician with process knowledge.
