Job Description:
Our client is in need of a Head of Sales with a turbomachinery and rotating equipment background to lead their project and sales teams in Gauteng.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the sales strategy for the region to ensure that sales targets are met.
  • Managing existing client relationships and developing new relationship.
  • Conducting customer needs analysis and assisting with design specifications.
  • Leading the entire sales process from marketing activities to close.
  • Compilation of regional budget and objectives.
  • Assisting in the compilation of tenders and proposals.
  • Negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
  • Representing the company at trade shows and conferences.
  • Mentoring and training subordinates.

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar qualification.
  • MBA or commercial qualification advantageous.
  • Technical background coupled with 10 years’ experience in the sales of turbomachinery and rotating equipment.
  • Ability to lead both technical and sales teams.
  • Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing industries.

 
Contractual information:

  • Permanent position.
  • Travel required.
