Description: 

This contractor position is on a temporary basis and will be located in Indonesia.

Under moderate supervision, perform highly specialized project administration and support functions for global capital projects, including but not limited to resource management, legal compliance, budget development, site logistics, and reporting to ensure the project status remains on schedule and within budget in accordance with generally accepted engineering and construction project practices and Company policies and procedures. May represent capital projects on company-wide task forces or teams and provide guidance to project management.

  • Manage the planning and execution of multi-site global project administration for Engineering & Construction, including the establishment and management of project facilities and transportation, logistics, food and medical services, accommodations, workforce planning and deployment, contracts, and project reporting.   
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of project administration programs to standardize practices and procedures which ensure uniform administration across all projects and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance against project contracts, work plans, schedules and milestones. Identify and report contractors’ staffing statuses and trends in contractor populations and work densities.  Recommend and negotiate changes in contracts and contractor staffing.  
  • Responsible for project manpower planning and execution, including the recruitment and selection process, contract initiation and management, mobilization and demobilization, budgetary considerations, and collaboration with internal departments, including Human Resources to meet project demands.   
  • Accurately forecast and manage multi-site project schedules and demands for resources.
  • Manage department budgets and annual compensation related issues, including development, analysis and reporting of financial forecasts, performance measures and results. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Scope

  • Level of interaction:  Often collaborates with managers and/or functional or site leaders and has some interaction with external colleagues.
  • Autonomy/decision making:  Works under moderate supervision and has some latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may impact department or individual work group.
  • Budgetary responsibility:  Prepares budget for review by others by pulling all components together and making recommendations.
  • Managerial Responsibilities:  Manages a function or specific program(s) or project(s), and will manage staff and individual contributors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or closely related area and five (5) years experience in international business administration, global construction services, project management or related area, OR
  • High School diploma or GED and nine (9) years experience in international business administration, global construction services, project management or related area.
  • Fluent English (oral and writing) is required. Bahasa as an additional language is preferred.
  • Strong (oral and written) communication and documentation skills.
  • Must work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, organized and highly productive.
  • Strong business ethics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Work involves frequent travel and/or relocation to the site of work.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the mining and metallurgical processing industry
  • Experience in remote location construction camp management
  • Bilingual – Bahasa language capabilities is a plus
  • Prior EPCM construction experience preferred
  • Predominant experience in project based roles
  • Working as a team member  (Client, EPCM & Contractors)
