Supervisor Category Management - Paramaribo Office

The Role


The Supervisor Category Management will effectively manage the development and provision of contracts to support Rosebel Gold Mines (RGM) operational phases. The incumbent will look for new opportunities and projects within Supply Chain to improve efficiencies and optimize costs, monitor and audit procedures and processes. Furthermore, preparing and administering contracts and attend to other issues pertinent to the category management function in order to ensure the contracting of materials and services essential to RGM are undertaken and completed within the ambits of laid down standards and procedures. #LI-SS1
This role will be based out of both the head office in Paramaribo from Monday to Friday.

Your Responsibilities:

Plan, direct and coordinate the activities associated with the category management function by developing and keeping updated standard contracting documentation and systems, including tendering arrangements.
Ensuring that all contracting activities are carried out in accordance with site procurement and corporate policies.
Monitor the performance of contracted services to ensure services are effective, meet statutory requirements and deliver desired outcomes.
Coordinate and control all sourcing activities between all stakeholders and proposed vendors.
Monitoring KPIs, service level agreements performance and communicate results and actions.
Develop contingency procurement strategies for critical path items and closely monitor the expediting process.
Supervise a team of Category Management personnel, including senior specialists.

Qualifications

What We Look For:

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Legal. CIPS, APICS certification would be an asset.
Minimum 5 years' of project or operations procurement for heavy industries.
Previous experience with tenders, contracts and category management.
Principal of contract law and a complete understanding of procurement standards.
Excellent computerized purchase order system and tracking with good data processing skills, Oracle or SAP ERP is preferred.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
