Coordinate technical market and marketing information for assigned products. Tracks market indicators. Produces marketing collateral as required. Prepares reports and presentations appropriate for senior management and sales teams.  Executes customer price fixations and offsetting tactical hedges with a focus on customer service.  Maintains detailed trade position databases.  The position wiull not engage in speculative trading.

  • Examines and analyzes statistical data to forecast future marketing trends.  Gathers data describing competitors and potential competitors and produces detailed technical analyzes regarding each.
  • Supports the organization in gathering and analyzing technical and market indicators in targeted end use markets.  Delivers monthly and quarterly reports for use by marketing, technical services, product development, sales and senior management.
  • Prepares and presents vidid graphical, explicit summaries, charts and other report media accurately reflecting findings and/or presentation needs of senior managers and sales teams.
  • Execute customer price fixations and offsetting tactical hedge with broker counterparts; coordinate with customer and financial counterparets to structure monthly copper hedge book; implement derivative product transactions for copper; entering daily trade details and market data into derivatives position databases insuring integrity of these systems and compliance with authorization/corporate risk management policy.

  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related field, or Bachelor's degree in another field of study combined with professional experience related to position responsibilities
  • At least five (5) years of experience with emphasis in economic, market or financial analysis
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and probelm solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills: proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards




  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Business Marketing desirable
  • Ten (10) years of related marketing analysis experience in a materials industry
  • Goal driven; works well independently and is a self-starter
  • Demonstrated work history of working with minimal supervision while delivering measurable results to senior level management




  • Ability and willingness to work early morning hours (i.e., 5:00 am)
  • General office environment using standard business practices.
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment with physical demands consistent with standard office work, including ability to sit for several hours at a time.
  • Travel 15% of the time (+/-).
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
