Lead Procurement and Category Management - Paramaribo Office

The Role


The Lead Procurement and Category Management will oversee the material, contract and service order management, and supervises the Procurement and Category Management team. Ensures particularly records exhaustiveness and data accurateness, tendering analysis, Oracle system training and integration, and reporting. Additionally, timely preparation of contracts and strict management of all contractual activities. #LI-SS1
This role will be based out of both the head office and mine site from Monday to Friday.

Your Responsibilities:

Manage all activities related to purchasing and contract, such as supervision, training, estimates, and analysis with respect of deadlines.
Manage and control data and information accurateness within the Oracle/SharePoint system.
Developing and maintain standard contracting documentation and systems including tendering arrangements and comply with the policies.
Ensuring that all contracting activities are carried out in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures, and principles of good practice including ethics and probity.
Regularly monitoring the performance of contracted services to ensure service are effective, meet statutory requirements and deliver desired outcomes.
Develop contingency procurement strategies for critical path items and closely monitor the expediting process.
Supervise a team of Procurement and Category Management personnel, including senior specialists.

Qualifications

What we look for:

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain.
Minimum 7 years' of project or operations procurement for heavy industries.
Minimum 7 years' of previous experience with tenders, contracts and category management.
Excellent computerized purchase order system and tracking with good data processing skills, Oracle or SAP ERP is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of materials management, logistics, transportation, and governmental regulations related to material shipments.
Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
