Supervises a team of inventory control personnel responsible for managing inventory in support of the Maintenance and Operations organizations in the North American Global Supply Chain Hub.
  • Supervises staff to meet inventory management performance objectives and deadlines on a daily basis
  • Implements GSC initiatives and objectives with team
  • Tracks performance against those objectives and regularly provides feedback to employees, both verbally and in writing, in an effort to meet those objectives
  • Utilizes inventory management tools and techniques with team to ensure maximum customer service level at the lowest total inventory cost, considering part criticality, lead time, usage value, holding value, and frequency of use
  • Evaluates potential item cataloging opportunities, new stock requests, and previous department purchases outside of corporate inventory catalog
  • Serves as a primary liaison with the Maintenance organization at each site, to ensure proper alignment of goals, metrics, processes and initiatives, and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Manages team performance against inventory management and supply chain related goals and objectives
  • Analyzes and identifies root causes of under-performance and implements changes to improve performance to meet or exceed targets
  • Collaborates in or supervises the development and implementation of new or enhanced inventory management processes, systems and technologies at site, leveraging industry best practices
  • Ensures SOX compliance by all staff members to inventory management policies as documented by the Global Supply Chain organization
  • Reports site specific results relative to inventory management-related metrics including inventory accuracy, service level, and total inventory cost
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related field, OR
  • Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering or a related field




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Master's degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Three (3) or more years of Data analytics experience
  • Experience with SAP Material Master & Inventory modules
  • Experience with IMB Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization Tool
  • Experience with project manage and Agile concepts
  • Proven track record with team leadership
  • Ability to adapt to and affinity for change




  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
