Under general supervision, supervises and coordinates the maintenance, construction, and repair of Townsite facilities; coordinates assigned activities with other areas, outside agencies, and the general public; provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Sr. Supervisor Service Maintenance.


  • Coordinates the organization, staffing and operational activities for the maintenance, construction, and repair of Townsite facilities
  • Oversees complex systems and equipment in one or more areas of the Townsite
  • Performs key assistance in the construction or renovation of homes or common spaces
  • Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans
  • Conforms to established program budget(s), monitor expenditures, and provides assistance for budget development and cost control activities
  • Maintains accurate record of monies processed and inventory, and resolves discrepancies when they occur
  • Ensures use of on-site work practices and procedures
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of related experience in managing construction and daily maintenance of Townsite facilities and common spaces or similar settings
  • State issued Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of operations, services and activities of a Townsite and common areas, or similar settings
  • Ability to develop, manage and grow all aspects of a Townsite-wide facilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to work in a small community effectively and maintain positive working relationships


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ten (10) years of related experience in managing construction and/or daily maintenance of Townsite facilities and common spaces


  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

  • Positions which Freeport-McMoRan has designated as safety sensitive positions in the applicable job or position description and which upon further review continue to be designated as safety-sensitive based on an individualized assessment of the actual duties performed by a specifically identified employee.
