The Role: The Human Resources Operations Coordinator provides high-quality basic analytical and administrative support to the HR function. Work closely with HR sites, Centre of Expertise (COE) and HR Operations teams to perform a variety of specialized operational and administrative support to the human resources function. Develops, expedites, and maintains files, records, and other documents.

This is a one year contract.

Your Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop the HR support case management tool to ensure all cases are treated promptly and as per agreed KPIs.

Receive and review cases. Assign to proper subject matter expert/key stakeholder.
Process standard cases using standard templates. It includes providing payroll instructions as per duly approved HR Business Partner instructions.
Follow compliance approval standards.
Coordinate the case review meetings with the business and HR colleagues.
Participate to the daily case distribution meeting. Flag the priorities and request help when appropriate.
Maintain the HR knowledge base repository and suggest best practices (i.e., search engine, naming convention).

Ensure that all HR policies, processes and work instruction and reference material are placed in the right knowledge repository.
Ensure that the knowledge can be easily referenced by HR professionals.
Maintain and update HRIS systems and Ensure data integrity.
Ensure the confidentiality of information is observed.
Provide access as per the prescribed approval process.
Act within the IAMGOLD compliance rule and legal regulations.
Maintain various Human Resources templates and documents in the Company selected knowledge base application

Understand the IAMGOLD page layout standards.
Validate the templates with key stakeholders when required.
Suggest appropriate maintenance naming convention and search engines in partnership with the IT department.
Maintain and improve the search engine mechanism.
Provide support to the Centers of Expertise (COEs) and respond to employee questions.

Acts as an ambassador for the team, including greeting guests and handling basic enquiries.
Responds to general employee questions and enquiries related to administrative matters and if needed, escalates their requests.
Prepares presentations, spreadsheets and other materials to assist the HR department in decision-making.
May conducts background checks, professional references, etc. as required to support employee onboarding process
Coordinate the scheduling of the various HR forums, i.e., weekly team meetings, monthly Global HR Roundtables and semi-annual in-person Global HR Roundtables, and other meetings as required.
May perform other administrative duties and not limited to the following: New hire orientation, expense reports, invoice review and processing and organizing meeting.
Maintain and update Human Resources dashboards & reports and employee files.

Understand IAMGOLD confidentiality requirements.
Run the reports as per the prescribed governance.
Validate the reports.
Perform basic data analysis.
Communicate the report to the identified stakeholders.


What we look for:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Professional HR designation preferred.
2 years of administrative and/or technical experience with 1 year of experience within an HR setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of Windows-based computer applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Understanding of HR knowledge base platform (i.e., SharePoint)
Knowledge of Case Management tool (i.e., Service Desk)
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to generate a high quality and error-free product
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Proven ability to balance several tasks simultaneously and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Flexibility and adaptability to undertake a variety of assignments
Pleasant and courteous in interpersonal interactions (verbal and written)
Fluency in English or French; Bilingual would be an asset
Highly motivated and independently driven with a sense of urgency.
