Specialist, Group ICT Security

Purpose of the role:

Reporting into the Senior Specialist, ICT Security, the incumbent will support the day-to-day operational activities. Specifically closing ICT Security tickets that have been completed, following up on tickets that require input from others, and taking direction from the ICT Security Senior Specialist in analysing and handling day-to-day security threats in the IT environment and performing daily checks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform daily checks to identify, and prioritise, vulnerabilities;
* Monitor existing tooling for security threats;
* Work with IT Operations teams to ensure security patches are applied as required;
* Manage the ICT Security ticket queue and ensure all tickets are up to date;
* Other tasks as directed by the ICT Security Senior Specialist.

Qualifications Required:

* A Graduate qualification in IT/Information Security, Computer, or Engineering highly regarded.

Experience & Skills Required:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within an ICT team and all stakeholders, addition of Spanish is highly regarded;
* Strength in production of thorough, concise, and easily readable documentation;
* Strong ability to adhere to standards, work with limited supervision, and meet deadlines for service delivery;
* Ability to work to a high standard under pressure in a sometimes-stressful environment;
* Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
* Knowledge of various information security tools and frameworks;
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
* Ability to communicate to a non-technical audience about various security measures;
* Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably in large or international environments;
* Hands-on working experience of information security best practices standards;
* Hands-on working experience securing Microsoft cloud and on-prem solutions;
* Hands-on working experience with Checkpoint firewalls and multiple Cisco security solutions; and
* Experience in on premise/hybrid cloud environments.

Other Requirements:
