My client, an international miner with a core asset in Africa, currently seeks an Underground Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to expand and train a highly skilled team of expatriates and national talent. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Ensure mobile maintenance planning processes are in place.
• Implementation of engineering reliability processes.
• Development of preventative maintenance strategies.
• Work with vendors and supply chain to ensure critical part availability.
• Maximise UG fleet availability investigating all causes of unplanned downtime.
• Maintain workshops to ensure good housekeeping and efficiency.
• Ensure effective QA/QC practices are established.
• Continuous improvement on safety and cost efficiency.
• Adherence to budget with variance & performance reporting.
• Team recruitment and leadership and development.
• Establish maintenance processes and procedures good enough to facilitate a transition from contractor to owner. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience with relevant depth in UG mobile equipment maintenance.
