Oversee the day-to-day activities of a staffing work team to include members located at various site locations.  Provide assistance with department recruiting activities and may act as a Senior Recruiter to fill workload gaps when necessary:


  • Supervise the workload of team members to meet staffing levels, including team members located at various sites, so to meet staffing requirements in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner
  • Monitor production reports of department activities to identify issues or areas of concern, to enhance recruiting activities and reduce processing time
  • Identify training or performance related issues and address those needs with team members as needed
  • Coach direct reports and assist them in addressing issues with less-experienced team members as well
  • Supervise department activities to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures
  • Communicate, explain and support process and policy changes, to ensure a smooth transition and compliance with new requirements
  • Collaborate with Site HR teams to meet site staffing levels and address process/performance issues
  • Collaborate with Staffing Management to proactively solve staffing challenges
  • Provide training for employees and contractors on recruiting process and practices as required
  • Work with team member to identify issues with recruitment activities and proposed solutions to reduce roadblocks and enhance overall processing
  • Recommend process improvements to Staffing Management
  • Develop and coordinate cross-training opportunities for team members
  • Perform other duties as required


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of Recruiting/Human Resources-related experience to include two (2) years of Supervisory or Team Lead experience, OR
  • High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of Recruiting/Human Resources-related experience to include two (2) years of Supervisory or Team Lead experience


Preferred Qualifications


  • Two years supervisory experience in recruitment or Human Resources, for a mining company or industrial facility 
  • Practical forecasting and data analysis experience to drive decision making
  • Practical experience and aptitude with Excel and process training
  • Experience utilizing Success Factors, SAP or other HRIS
  • Abitly to multi-task, while handling a variety of high-priority, confidential tasks
  • Willing and able to travel for Career Fairs and/or support other recruiting activities




  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber  steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
